In case you're headed the wrong way along the 394 corridor this evening look for people running with torches...
Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis will close this evening from 6 p.m. until approximately 10:30 p.m. for two Aquatennial events: the Lifetime Fitness Torchlight 5K race and the CenterPoint Energy Torchlight Parade.
Beginning at 6 p.m., Dunwoody Boulevard will be closed to traffic, including the Dunwoody exit ramp off Interstate 394.
Beginning at 7:15 p.m., Hennepin Avenue will be closed to traffic from Dunwoody Boulevard and Lyndale Avenue to Washington Avenue, which is the entire parade route. Some cross streets will also be closed at Hennepin Avenue.
These streets will reopen after the parade is finished at approximately 10:30 p.m.
If you are Downtown this evening, watch out for heavy pedestrian traffic and allow for additional time to get to your destination.
The Minnesota Twins play an afternoon game that begins at 12:05 p.m.
